A late 19th century Napoloeon III French Ebonised Escritoire Abbatant circa 1890 with canted corners, a single drawer over the fall front, opening to reveal fitted bird's eye maple interior with pigeon holes and three small drawers, over a faux leather writing surface, above four drawers, each applied with carved ribbon tied foliate garland decoration, above a shed apron and standing on turned feet.
CONDITION REPORT: The Escritoire is offered in good used antique condition with lots of character, the drawers all open and close smoothly with no odours or smells, the top with minor marks and stains, the piece is in generally good order with minor nibbles, the back panels are original and in good order. The piece is structurally sound, there is no evidence of past woodworm, comes with five non working key with tassel, there are knocks, cops and marks allover, the paintwork is distressed in various areas.
