Rare 18th Century Dutch Corner Cabinets Pair Inlaid Marquetry Monumental
A very rare and unique pair of late 18th century Dutch bow fronted floor standing corner cupboards circa 1780, the protruding cornice over a pair of brass bound panelled doors profusely inlaid with marquetry of lattice design and flowers, enclosing three shelves, two original working keys to top sections for both cabinets, the cabinets can be stacked on top of the smaller similar inlaid design cabinets giving a total height of 8.5ft or 261cm or stacked on the smaller stands giving a lower height of just over 7ft or 219cm, the cabinets can be configured either way. The smaller cabinets can be used as corner stands for lights or side tables, total number of pieces are 6 items consisting of 2 tall cabinets, 2 short cabinets and 2 stands. Condition Report: Possibly originally built in /fitted in a room, centre front legs look to be a more recent additions, recent refurbishment and re polished, veneers repaired, lower locks not working, overall extremely striking, very impressive, for safety these would probably need to be secured to a wall.
