William IV Mahogany Buttoned Back Leather Library Chair 19th Century Circa 1835
Magnificent antique William VI Mahogany & Leather button back leather library chair early 19th century circa 1835, The chair with its beautiful aged brown leather button-back upholstery with brass stud work to sides, open scroll arms with turned supports and padded arm rests, a Mahogany carved frame raised on fluted and turned front legs with its brass cup and porcelain rolling castors, the chair shows wonderful character and age through the years of good use with a good rich patina to both the leather and mahogany, a very comfortable chair that would grace any library or lounge, perfect for sitting back and reading a book.
Condition report: The chair is offered in excellent original antique condition with no repairs or restorations, the leather shows its age and has lightly faded in areas and there is a head stain the seat back, the joints are all solid with no weakness to joint, there are no signs of past or present woodworm, the chair has a rich mahogany patina.
