Mid Century Brazilian Modern Jorge Zalszupin ‘Banco Onda’ Bench circa 1960s, the Onda (literally meaning wave) showcases some of the finest characteristics of the designer's greatest works, with the excellent use and marriage of contrasting materials such as wood, steel and leather, aesthetically designed with unparalleled elegance and style, combining the very best of Scandinavian and Brazilian influences, this iconic design consists of an elongated seating surface in richly figured Brazilian Jacaranda veneer which is curved and moulded into a series of waves, clearly defining two ergonomically crafted seats accentuating the wood's beautifully figured grain, to the edge there is a softly draped leather magazine holder with two separated folders, raised on three minimalist chromed metal supports giving the bench the illusion of floating mid-air, a stunning and worthy addition to any serious collection, use either as a coffee table or bench, reserve now
