A stunning pair of antique Middle Qing Dynasty Elm Apothecary Medicine chests dating to circa 1871 from the Shandong province, Northern China, each chest having nine rows of five square drawers (forty five drawers per chest, ninety in total) with gilt character decorations, each drawer with the name of different medicinal herbs, over two carved base drawers, comes with certificate of authenticity.
Condition: General 'lightly distressed finish' to drawers with coloured differences to each drawer, otherwise sound
