Exceptional tall mid 19th century Anglo-Indian Teak Sunburst Bookcase on Chest India circa 1850, made in two parts, all in solid teak, the corniced upper bookcase section profusely carved and decorated in typical form surmounted with two arched glazed panelled doors, featuring original lock with working key, opening to reveal two sliding shelves, the lower chest section, comprising of two small drawers over two larger drawers all with turned knob handles, all drawers with original working locks, the drawer fronts carved with beautiful sunburst detail, raised on carved reeded bun feet, excellent rich patina with accomplished carved detailed design all over, a true statement piece that will be the focal point and grace any room, reserve now.
