A magnificent Victorian Mahogany and Inlaid Secretaire chest circa 1880, the rectangular top over large drawer with a drop flap opening to reveal a compartmentalised interior with various drawers and central cabinet, beautiful painted detail of Queen Boadicea or Boudicca with Union shield and Lion standing by her side, three further graduated drawers each with brass drop handles and lozenge shaped inlaid escutcheons, raised on front out-swept legs, comes with one non working key with tassel,
Condition: Offered in good antique condition, there are various age related knocks and marks with minor chips and missing veneers to the drawer fronts, there are no odours or smells, all drawers open and close smoothly no evidence of past or present woodworm, a truly striking piece of furniture with a wonderful golden patina.
