Antique Walnut Inlaid Breakfront Bookcase Cabinet Napoleon III, circa 1870
Spectacular French Napoleon III figured walnut gilt and marquetry Inlaid antique low level bookcase cabinet France, circa1870 the rectangular figured breakfront top with moulded edge with brass rope detail above a floral inlaid marquetry decoration to the frieze, over three glazed doors with gilded brass fittings to the side top and bottom of the cabinet, the interior comprising of two shelves beautifully lined in original light green velvet all raised on shaped bracket feet, this magnificent antique has been fully restored and is offered in wonderful condition, the walnut is a golden shade with a striking grain, is in very good condition with a wonderful golden patina.

The cabinet is offered in excellent condition having been re polished by our restorer, the interior lining to the shelves is original and lightly faded, the doors all open and close smoothly, the keys shown in the pictures are non working and for display purposes only, working keys can be easily for the locks cut if required, no signs of past or present woodworm, no odours or smells wonderful golden patina.
