Fabulous set of TWO original Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller 'La Fonda' Chairs Circa 1960s, the moulded shell shaped seats with original black vinyl covering, raised on polished aluminium cast four branch angled support with rubber terminals, showing its had a good working life, released by Herman Miller in the 1960s, original label still present to one chair reading "Interform, 162 Bd Boulevard Voltaire Paris", official French distributor for Herman Miller.
Notes:These are after an original design created for Alexander Girard, who needed seating for his new restaurant 'La Fonda Del Sol' in New York's Time Life Building in 1961.
Condition report: The chairs are offered in great vintage condition, all original with no repairs, light wear as to be expected, minor mark to one of the seats but barely noticeable, the shells light scuffs, a beautiful set of original Herman Miller chairs.
