Splendid Antiques is delighted to offer Charles and Ray Eames EA219 Aluminium Group Soft Pad Executive Chair by Interform Herman Miller Paris 1970, The light aluminium frame with soft white leather finish, the leather shows its age and patina, the leather could easily be re coloured to a perfect white but we love the chair exactly as is, showing its had a good working life, released by Herman Miller in the 1970s. Label still present reading "Interform, 162 Bd Boulevard Voltaire Paris", official French distributor for Herman Miller.

The Eames Aluminium Group Soft Pad Executive Chair designed by Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller. Originally the Aluminium Group chairs were designed in 1958 and then in 1969, Eames upgraded the design with soft padded cushions with the new name of the "Soft Pad Collection”. The Ergonomic aluminium swivel frames are lightweight making these chairs easy to relocate and super comfortable on the back.

Condition: The chair is offered in excellent original condition, the leather is faded and shows signs of age and patina, makers mark to the underside of chair, the white leather can be re coloured but looks great as is.
