Van der Straeten designed jewellery for runway shows by Christian Lacroix and Yves Saint Laurent, as well as the iconic bottle for Dior’s “J’Adore” fragrance. He has worked with the designers Alberto Pinto, Robert Couturier, Alexandre Biaggi, and Thierry Mugler.
