Magnificent 19th century Howard & Sons ‘English Country House’ Portarlington Sofa circa 1850,  completely restored and re upholstered in the finest Howard & Sons Blue H&S monogrammed ticking material, this superb large country house sofa is the epitome of comfort and style, possible the most comfortable of all Howard and Sons sofas with its the high double cushioned seat back with tall out-swept arms with attached cushions, two large feather and down filled removable cushions to the seat base, the sofa raised on tapered mahogany legs to the front and the rear sitting on brass castors (the casters all stamped Howard & Sons), the back leg stamped with the model number 7470 9400 an elegant and extremely comfortable sofa, double cross support bars to the underside, reserve now.
