Magnificent José Zanine Caldas Namoradeira Rocking Armchair Brazil 1979, the Namoradeira is skilfully sculpted from salvaged Pequi wood an indigenous fruit tree of Brazil, the naturalistic qualities of the heavily figured wood are delicately balanced by its hand-forged form, the seat has a calming gentle rocking motion allowing two people to sit opposing each other, this piece comes with a fully legalized certificate of authenticity by Euclides Zanine Cladas.
Provenance: Acquired by Euclides Zanine Caldas from a family in the South of Bahia where his father ( José Zanine Caldas) had his collection.
Condition: Original condition with no restorations age related wear as to be expected, lightly oiled and waxed to feed the wood.
