Noboru Nakamura For IKEA Bore Lounge Chair & Footstool Leather 1970's

A beautiful 1970's original Noboru Nakamura Bore leather button back Lounge chair with matching footstool in camel coloured leather hide, the chair and stool with light chrome tubular frame both with removable leather cushions and raised on ferrrari stamped casters, the chair is in excellent original condition and extremely comfortable, this piece is extremely rare and only a few of this example survive in this quality, a true collectors piece, provenance confirmed by the Ikea museum please see below.

Nice to hear from a true IKEA fan, I have asked my colleagues that has worked for IKEA a long, long time if they knew which suppliers we used. It is impossible to give a sure answer but their guess was Sweden for BORE and Czechoslovakia for POEM. We don’t however have any good sources on this. Instead I can send you a picture from the Swedish catalogue that at least will prove it to be Noboru design and not Bruno Mathsson.
