Rare Osvaldo Borsani Walnut & Leather Desk 1940
A magnificent rare 1940s Italian Boss desk designed by Osvaldo Borsani, the large rectangular walnut with a tooled brown and gilded leather top over three frieze drawers each drawer with its original working locks (no keys), both the leg fronts having hinged front panels concealing hidden storage compartments, resting on brass base. Condition: Overall this piece is offered in excellent condition, the leather is not torn or ripped but does show signs of use, the three drawers glide open and close with ease, the locks are all working but would need to have keys cut by a locksmith (keys are not being provided), the brass feet could be buffed up but we preferred them dulled down and as is, there are no signs of woodworm past or present and the wood has a wonderful deep rich patina, this piece that will certainly be the focal point of any room or office.
