The R.T.W. or ‘Reinventing the Wheel' was designed by Ron Arad in 1996, the anodised aluminium rotating circular bookcase has shelves that they will always remain in a horizontal position when the wheel is turned, derived from the design he made in his own atelier from the limited edition of twenty pieces each bearing an edition number, plus an additional five artists proofs, due to the complexities of production, a simpler all-aluminium design of the bookcase was produced by Ron Arad for the Dutch company Hidden in 2000, only 25 pieces were ever produced of which this is one, the R.T.W. is in the permanent collection of the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam, a truly stunning piece of Twentieth Century design, reserve now

Ron Arad's constant experimentation with materials and his radical re-conception of the form and structure of furniture has put him at the forefront of contemporary design. Alongside his limited edition studio work, Ron Arad designs for many leading international companies including. His current architectural commissions include hotel projects in Italy, Spain, England, Mexico and a design museum in Israel. Arad is the winner of numerous design awards and his work appears in many public collections worldwide. He is currently Professor of Product Design at the Royal College of Art in London.
